Praxis Work
Starting this week my cohort and I are all going through the job hunt module. My capstone project will not be finding a different job but learning as much as I can from doing accounting at Ford. This module is still helpful since I’ll probably be looking for somewhere to work in the future.
The first project I worked on was creating a skill bank of hard and soft skills I have already, and backing up those skills with proof. I then updated my Portfolio page, About Me page, and Contact page. You can see how much the bio on my About Me page changed here.
Finally, I wrote a master resume, listing all of my work/volunteer experience, which I can mix and match depending on the job I’m applying for.
Praxis Reading
This week we started a new book, The Creative Act: A Way of Being, by Rick Ruben. It heavily reminds me of Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert, because of how it describes creativity.“Talent is the ability to let ideas manifest themselves through you.”
This can be done in so many different ways. Art might be your first thought, but physical feats, speeches, and even organization are all types of talent. We create when we bring something into the world that didn’t quite exist before. Our perception of the world is a creation in and of itself, and what we do with that perception only furthers our creation. Every conversation, every interaction with the world around us, is the act of creating.
Art of the Week
On the topic of creating, this week I made a couple of different pieces of art.

If you want to see more artwork from me, including more progress photos of the art above, check out my Instagram page, Lucid Ace Art.
That’s all for this week. Thanks for reading!
